What is MaRRS, and what does the platform aim to achieve?

MaRRS is an international educational organisation dedicated to creating 360° learning opportunities that empower students outside the standard classroom curriculum.

By combining gamified learning materials, structured orientations, and tiered competitive frameworks, MaRRS helps school students cultivate deep intellectual self-belief, critical thinking, and communication poise.

Language & Communication Competitions

  • MaRRS International Spelling Bee (MISB): World’s largest self-motivated language learning competition using an 11-round testing matrix focused on etymology, syntax, and phonetics.
  • MaRRS Spelling Bee Junior: Game-based vocabulary and phonetic activities for Kindergarten students.

How is a typical MaRRS competition structured?

MaRRS tournaments are divided into five progressive levels:

1. School Level
2. Inter-School
3. State Championship
4. National Championship
5. International Championship
How many rounds of assessments can my child expect?
  • MaRRS Play2Learn Carnival & Spell Bee Junior: 5 testing rounds.
  • MaRRS International Spelling Bee & Math Bee: Up to 6 evaluation tiers including oral dictation, phonemic matching, synonym/antonym slides, crosswords, and idiom completion.
How can a student register for MaRRS events?

Most students enrol through their schools.

Step 1

The school signs an institutional participation consent form.

Step 2

Registration forms are distributed through class teachers.

Step 3

Students receive a unique Candidate Identification Number (CIN).

Parents can also review open self-enrollment slots during active academic registration periods on marrs.in.

What does the initial entry fee include?
  • Access to the Level 1 Examination.
  • Downloadable study guides and preparatory literature.
  • Formal graded performance-tracked e-certificate.
Where are the initial exams hosted?

Round 1 examinations are conducted directly within school premises during regular school hours.

In case of verified emergencies, MaRRS may provide an online alternative exam buffer window.

What happens after a student qualifies at School Level?

Qualifying students receive invitations to advance into higher competition tiers.

How do I register for advanced rounds?
  1. Log into the student portal using the CIN.
  2. Check dashboard notifications for qualification updates.
  3. Pay the registration fee online.
  4. Download the admit card with venue and slot details.
Are there separate fees for advanced tiers?

Yes. Every progressive level requires a separate fee.

These fees support venues, judges, upgraded study materials, and advanced assessment systems.

Where are advanced rounds hosted?
  • Inter-School & State Levels: Conducted at hub schools or institutional campuses.
  • National & International Levels: Hosted at convention centres and premier educational venues in cities such as Mumbai, Kochi, Singapore, and Dubai.
What additional prep resources are provided?

What if my child cannot attend an advanced round?

Individual slot changes are generally not entertained.

However, verified medical emergencies or board exam clashes may be reviewed if informed at least 7 days before the event.
